This 21 Days Okavango Delta Self drive safari is rated one of the top 10 experiences in Southern Africa.

This 21 day self drive tour is definitely the most comfortable option to see all the places of interest.

Day 1

We meet at O.R Tambo airport and depart to Martins Drift Border Post were we will cross over and spend the night at Kwa Nokeng Lodge.

Day 2 & 3

We make our way through to the Makgadikgadi Pans for 2 nights we will spend our day exploring the Island and doing a bit of photography.

Day 4

We will make our way through the Makgadikgadi Pans towards the north and turn towards Gweta and on to Maun. We can expect to reach Maun at about midday where we will then stock up on fuel and supplies before venturing north into the Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 5 & 6

Will be spent exploring the newly opened area around the south called Black Pools.

Day 7, 8 & 9

We make our way through to 3rd Bridge were we will spend the next 2 days exploring this area and up towards Xakanaka were we can do a boat ride on one of the days.

Day 10, 11, 12 & 13

We make our way through to Northern Gate for an overnight stay. From this camp we leave the Moremi and make our way through to Savuti, this camp will be our home for the next 3 days.

Day 14, 15 & 16

We will leave Savuti fairly early and make our way through to Kasane were we will spend the next 2 nights staying in luxury accommodation and enjoying the Chobe region of Botswana.

Day 17 & 18

From Chobe we make our way south again to Nata Safari Lodge for another 2 nights.  During our stay with them we will do a tour of the northern part of Sowa Pan.

Day 20

After crossing the boarder we make our way back to Johannesburg for our final night before going our separate ways.

Packing For Your Trip

When packing for your trip remember that a lot of the journey is in remote areas were supplies are not available.
This is particularly important when packing prescription medication and other essential items before departing. There are ATM machines in most major town but it is advisable to carry cash for emergency situations.
